Hello everyone!
I was born in a beautiful town called Karlovy Vary. In English, some people also call it Carlsbad. It is the most famous spa town in the Czech Republic.
People from all over the world visit because of the hot mineral springs. There are more than 70 hot springs, and yes… some people actually drink the hot water! The first time you try it, you might think, “Is this really tea?” But don’t worry—it isn’t!
The Czech Republic is also famous for its castles. We have more than 2,000 castles and chateaux—one of the highest numbers in the world. It feels like every hill has a castle. If you throw a stone (please don’t!), you might accidentally hit one.
Our capital city is Prague, which many people say is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. It has old streets, amazing bridges, and a famous astronomical clock that has been showing the time for over 600 years. Luckily, it still works better than my alarm clock on Monday mornings!
Another thing my country is famous for is beer. Czech people are very proud of it, and many visitors say it is some of the best in the world. Even if you don’t drink beer, it is an important part of our culture and history!
